No matter what is said about this weekend the Fighting Irish are bowl eligible once again and are looking for a New Years Day game in the Gator Bowl.
Last weeks poll asked what assistant coach needs replaced at seasons end.
- John Latina 75%
- Mike Haywood 18%
- Jappy Oliver 5%
- Brian Polian 2%
Don't forget to vote in this week's poll and enjoy the pipes!

I cannot believe the Gator Bowl would want a 7-5 or 6-6 Irish team. Though my comment is terribly negative, I believe it is reality.
The other point I believe is important in identifying a bowl for our Irish is to select one we can win. We need to get that (ND can't win a bowl game) monkey off our back.
Regardless of how we got there, it is great the Irish will play in a bowl.
The Gator Bowl wil take ND at 7-5... no question. 6-6 and the Irish are heading to El Paso.
I hate the arguement from Irish fans that they want to make sure the Irish play an opponent that they can beat to break the bowl losing streak. I don't care about the streak and neither does the team. You take what you can, even if its more than you can chew. With that said, there is no ACC team the Irish would face in the Gator that is a sure loss or victory.
I agree with subway domer, play the best team available. This team needs to play quality opponents, the better the competition the better the team will be next year. I would like a ND Miami bowl.
Oh and while they're down there, don't let Latina or Polian back on the bus.
